Time and space are relative, just like Uncle Albert

The speed of light remains the same, regardless of perspective

Universal time's been blown away

Mr Maxwell's work is safe, invariance prevails

Postulates bring consequences, curious conclusions

Time dilation, length contraction, not at all illusions

Lorentz's transformation is the key

But now no-one agrees simultaneously

I am sorry, it's getting very late

Mr Tompkins is swinging on the gate

Bob and Alice disappear in a cloud of steam

Traveling cross the universe upon their own light beam

Have you ever seen that before?

If I near the speed of light to you my clock runs slowly

I'm squished and I am squashed in the direction I am going

For me, for you, it's just the same from my personal reference frame

But neither one of us feels any change

Hurry, scurry, it's time to worry

If you want to see another world, another place, a far out galaxy

Hairy, scary, must be wary

If you want to be dislocated, relocated to a far out galaxy

I am sorry, it's getting very late

Mr Tompkins is swinging on the gate

Bob and Alice disappear in a cloud of steam

Traveling cross the universe upon their own lightbeam

Have you ever seen that before?
